Recently I had the pleasure of speaking to a group of ladies at Darby House in Richmond, Virginia about massage increasing circulation and releasing toxins (waste products). Some people did not realize that massage is a form of detoxification. The massage strokes used by your massage therapist help to release toxins into your bloodstream.

Massage therapists advise you to drink plenty of water after your massage to help eliminate these toxins from your system. Free of these toxins, your tissues and muscles are able to receive fresh nutrients and consequently are able to recover and heal more efficiently.
Therefore, increasing your circulation with massage helps to encourage more thorough detoxification due to a better exchange of nutrients at the cellular level. Don't forget that how well your cells regenerate themselves is an important part of remaining healthy.
Tianya Clark, B.S. conducted the Cleansing Your Body seminar this past weekend and spoke about Aqua Detox and how it detoxs at a cellular level. Toxins, such as heavy metals, nicotine, etc., are removed through the pores of the feet in a 30 minute session. Several participants had the foot detox done at the seminar and were amazed at the results. Just by looking at the water, Mrs. Clark was able to tell the participants what type of issues were involved. For example, one client disclosed she was a long-term smoker after Mrs. Clark noted the presence of a lot of nicotine.

The seminar actually ran over due to the number of questions Mrs. Clark was asked. There was also great interest in the Tens unit which uses electrical stimulation to kill parasites in the body. Some of the participants, as well as Mrs. Clark, shared their experiences with this unit.
