Have you considered massage using warm herbal compresses? Do you have muscle aches or soreness? Would you a like a bit more heat even though you are on a heated table? Who wants some warm comfort on a cold rainy day?

A heat and massage combination is familiar to many of you. Everybody likes a little bit of heat at one time or another and, of course, massage is always a treat. Hot stone massage is a well known modality even if people are not aware exactly how it is performed until they experience it personally. Lava shell massage is another heated massage option with more gentle warmth.

Green Tea

Have you ever used any herbal remedies? I think many people have some knowledge of them even if only from a culinary standpoint. There are a variety of cooking shows on and it appears herbs are used to season just about everything. Herbal teas have also become very popular. One of my favorite places in Richmond is the Tea Co. They have a good variety of herbal teas, which you can see on their website - www.tea-co.com. Feel free to contact Myra Ceasar for more information about herbal tea or tea in general.

People are certainly more aware of using herbal remedies to treat various conditions. You have probably seen advertising for herbs on TV or in magazines like Ginkgo (mental alertness,) Aloe Vera (burns) and Valerian (insomnia.) If you talk to some older relatives, ask them about using a mustard poultice on the chest for congestion. People have been using herbs for ages.

Therefore, using herbs during massage should not come as a total surprise to you. Various herbal blends are used to treat your specific condition. For some much needed relief for stiff, tender, sore muscles, a ginger or chamomile blend could be used. Your muscles and joints are warmed up, while the healing properties of the herbs go to work. In addition, as dead skin cells are loosened by the cloth, you get a light exfoliation treatment. That's a triple duty treatment!

Maybe you just want to try a different massage, or maybe your reason is "just because". Whatever the reason, combining these elements - heat, massages, and herbal compresses - may be exactly what you need.
