Vunkuwa African Massage is a unique massage technique that originates from Bantu and bushman techniques in Southern African for well-being and longevity.
At the dawn of humanity many techniques to heal and cure the body came into existence in Southern Africa. Plants and herbs were used, rubbing techniques became better every generation, and the variety of techniques for longevity and well-being became widely spread amongst the population of Southern Africa. This wisdom and knowledge was passed on from generation to generation. I translated this tradition into contemporary massage techniques, which incorporate the mystic and the subtle techniques from my ancestors. I continue this old tradition of healing and working with people and plants in my work.
Vunkuwa massage involves body warm-up, body energy points, deep tissue work, manipulation of the spinal cord, energy balancing, and the application of massage oils and creams which are made from African medicinal plants. This traditional approach brings one back to the essence of being, connected with nature and life. The difference lies in the application of my massage techniques, combined with different plants, herbs, oils, and creams.
Many clients from all over the world have enjoyed the massage techniques in Cape Town, South Africa. Since 2005, Vunkuwa Academy, based in the heart of Europe in Antwerp, has been active in the European market. For those wanting more information, please visit my website, www.vunkuwa.com.
