A couple of days ago I drove carefully to work in an intermittent rain storm. Once I got out of the car, the skies opened up. Despite my having an umbrella, which did not turn inside out for a change, my shoes, socks, and pants were thoroughly drenched. Luckily I had another pair of pants to put on, but I remained shoeless in my cubicle until lunch. You know how long socks take to dry out so I won't say any more about that. I felt chilled all day and could not wait to get home for a hot shower. However, I had a client scheduled.

While waiting for my client, I fantasized about getting a massage with steamy hot towels on my feet and a hot water pack. That pack is filled with hot water and rests under the bottom sheet on the massage table. I imagine I am drifting on a warm, soft cloud. That is definitely a tension breaker.
When I got home, I smiled in anticipation of that hot shower even though it had started raining again. Then I heard a squishy sound as I walked and I knew immediately what had happened. My neighbor's a/c pan had overflowed again. It appears I was destined to have water from above all day so I just settled for a long, hot shower. That hot water pack will have to wait until next time.
